Translating exercise names

I’m figuring out how to translate the exercise "Bird dog" into Italian. Sometimes it’s referred to as "cane ginnico," but I’m not sure if that fits. I considered using "cane e cane" or "cane-gatto," but maybe that’s not quite right. It seems like the term "Bird dog" could remain the same in a widely accepted form. However, it may be best to use "cane-uccello" as it’s a more direct translation. I’ll go with that.
